Latest mountain bike news

I hate to keep reminding everyone that it's the winter but it seems like all the MTB news these days just confirms it. You know the weekend ride in Macon I skipped out on? The Tallahassee Democrat has an in-depth article on the endurance race that was held Saturday despite the weather and it sounds absolutely miserable. Only 27 folks showed up for the 4 hour, 20 minute ride through the rain and temperatures in the 30s, though it sounded like some of them may have actually had a good time (no confirmation at this time).

Also my buddy Andy over at Outside All Day recently shared his praises for the Light & Motion Stella 180-L light system. Maybe it's just me but it's kinda depressing to have to ride with lights in the dark during the winter months while we spend all our daylight hours trapped in an office. Andy and his crew also share some training tips, definitely important if you want to try and stay fit through the winter and into spring.

Some of the snow is still on the ground here in Atlanta - I can't wait for summer!

Two men in outdoor apparel handling a deer carcass on a forest path, with bicycles nearby. One man is wearing an orange safety vest and helping to lift the deer onto the bike, while another man in camouflage observes. Pine trees surround the area, indicating a hunting or outdoor setting.
