Diabetic Riders

June 28, 2009

I would just like to say thanks to all of you for the great info. I got into MTB because I had diabetes. I am still heavy but have lost a lot of weight and have my diabetes under control for the time being. There have been a lot of people I don’t even know on Turnbull Canyon that always give me support or are always ones to hand out a job well done. I have a Mongoose Bike that I had to buy to start but have been upgrading parts through Jensen’s Mail order and giving it the right parts it needs. Plus I get the benefit of mechanically doing the work myself. I hope one day soon to be on a Yetti or Kona. I ride about 60 miles a week and just want a new bike so bad – hauling a 48 pound bike up hills gets you burnt out, especially with your gear and my extra weight, LOL. Hope to see you on the trail, peace.
