#2: Fox 32 Series (XC/Trail)
The Fox 32 Step Cast is all new for 2017 and represents Fox’s lightest XC fork yet. The Fox 32-Series forks were already popular with many riders thanks to their ubiquity; many mid- to high-end XC and light-duty trail bikes come spec’d with some Fox 32-Series fork variant. Travel for the 32-Series forks range from 100mm all the way up to 150mm for the 26er version.
The 2017 Step Cast 32-Series forks start at just 1352g and are offered with 100mm of travel only. Fox has narrowed the chassis width by 10mm, which promises to make the fork lighter and stiffer, though less likely to work with plus-size conversion project bikes.
