#8: Fox 40 Series (DH)
The Fox 40 Series is the most popular DH fork on our list, with a burly 203mm of travel in both 26 and 27.5 versions. This is a dual-crown, air sprung, Fox FLOAT fork with Kashima-coated stanchions. Starting weights come in at 2,626g. DH World Champ Rachel Atherton ran the Fox 40 in her winning 2015 run.
The Fox 40 Series features a high speed compression / low speed compression damper for excellent tunability. MSRP is $1,699 USD.
