Trail Description
About this trail
The trail is a nice combination of technical rock trail, washes, and climbs. There is a large network of trails to make the ride longer or shorter depending upon your needs. These trails cross over Trail 100 which allows for lots of other options.

Review: Nice network of desert trails right in the middle of the Phoenix metroplex ... great resource imo. There are some pretty rocky technical areas throughout that will challenge most riders, and there are some pretty fast smooth areas. Good mix. Good system. Nice desert scenery.

Review: This "trail" really doesn't fit nicely into one of the above categories as it is not smooth, but it is not intermediate as far as skill level. It is really more of a hiking area which traverses a Quartz mountain with a majority of the area covered with loose rock and Quartz/DG outcroppings. I definitely wouldn't spend any time here if you aren't tubeless. The "technical" ratings mentioned in other reviews must be calling navigating these rock gardens or climbing some hike-a-bike sections as technical, because otherwise there really isn't much here that would qualify as a traditional technical rating for Mtn Biking. Anyway, I will say that the local hiking population, which there are a TON of hikers, are extremely friendly and really seem to enjoy the area. Outside of this, a trip over to South Mountain will provide some better technical riding with some decent flow sections.

Review: I rode Trail #100 out and back from the 40th Street park entrance on a Sunday morning. Nice singletrack with a few areas of moderate climbs. Side trails off of #100 offer more challenging climbs and technical areas. On Sunday there were quite a few hikers walking dogs.

Review: There were some routes which are intermediate, but mostly very technical runs with many sections nearly unridable. Didn't ride everything but be aware that the routes seem to have gotten very washed out. It would be great for a hike.

Review: This is an amazing trail. If offers a number of different challenges and it doesn't hurt living so close to it.
