    Great

    Pros
Possesses Great geometry, an all purpose hardtail that is forgiving and capable of taking you to higher levels in biking. SRAM X1 1x11 crisp shifting, Fox Revolution CTD 120 responds accordingly, SLX brakes have saved my 215lbs of bacon, the enthusiast Bontranger duster elite, pro, and elite components have impressed me, and ultimately it's just fun.

    Cons
Change out the stock seat, Trek has unfortunately discontinued this particular version of the Stache since 2015.

I love this bike. I've have had other 29ers and this bike has caused it hard to imagine life without a niner plus or how I ever rode without one.

    Pros
    Handling, comfort, and speed

    Cons
    None so far

All mountain, any terrain bike that crushes trails and takes the work out of riding difficult sections.

    Pros
Plows any terrain with ease and agility.
    Loaded with options.
Puts F.U.N. back into riding a bike.

    Cons
    Weak wheels flex under load.
Heavier than most compareably equipped bikes.
Medium frame standover height is snug.
    Press Fit bottom bracket.

Very fun bike. For me this obviates the need for a cross-country full suspension bike.

    Pros
Incredibly agile. Don't be discouraged by the large wheels

    Cons
None. Maybe that it does not allow a front derailleur?

    Pros
Color, brakes and drivetrain, stable and predictable geo

    Cons
    Price, low-end fork

Buy. Ridden mine on flat XC Florida trails to the premium Oregon downhill trails.

    Pros
Lightweight, 23" frame available, tubeless ready. Rear thru axle.
    Shorter chainstay than most 29ers.

    Cons
Flatten seatpost doesn't allow the seatpost to drop but an inch.

My 3rd mtb and 1st 29er. I really like it. I don't see it on trek's web site, maybe not being offered for 15.

    Pros
Smooth shifting, climbs well, stable handling.

    Cons
Not tubeless ready, lower end shimano brakes.

Awesome starter bike for the price!

    Pros
    Price, cranks, ready for upgrades

    Cons
Some updates are advised like fork and tubeless rims but for this price, can't find anything better

Set up bike with steath reverb, replaced 90mm stem w/ a 50mm and got a RF atlas handlebar (a little wider and matched the cranks). A great bike that was super quiet in the rough thanks to the shadow plus der. Very playful and confident ride that begs to be pushed hard. This is downhiller's hardtail and would be a great bike to add to a quiver. Also would be a great choice for someone who may be considering an entry level full suspension bike but wants a quality component spec out of the box. After a few rides I'm sold...a fun bike that will stay in my stable for a long time.

    Pros
Slack geo, short stays, thru axles, reverb stealth routing,RF turbine crankset shadow plus rear mech

    Cons
poor routing options for stealth dropper on downtube, effective top tube length is little long for each size (ie test ride different sizes before buying)
