Another Interbike is in the books, and while this year’s show wasn’t as big or as well attended as events in years past, there was still much to be seen. In this episode of our podcast, Aaron, Greg, and Jeff set the scene at Interbike 2017, talk about the most interesting products on display, and recap news and reviews from the show.

Editor’s Note: This podcast was recorded about a week ago, and just released today. The timing with yesterday’s tragedy at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas is purely coincidental. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the families of the victims of that tragic shooting.

For me the biggest challenge for mountain biking is how it is being misrepresented. When the general public think of mountain biking they think of RedBull style riding with huge jumps and flips over the great wall of china and any other sensationalist thing they can think of. We need to think about how to better present ourselves to the general public.

Also i think cycling in general has a race problem. The vast majority of riders i see are Caucasian males. I want to see more done to increase diversity among cyclists.

I see all types of riders on trails in NC.

I just hope Interbike had some displays/demos of bikes that are affordable for poor to middle class people who want to ride.
