We missed Northwave at Eurobike where the company introduced their first true, flat pedal shoes. Both shoes feature a rubber compound on the sole called Gecko+, which was co-developed with Michelin.
Northwave Clan
The Clan, pictured above, is the more performance-oriented of the two new Northwave flat pedal shoes. These shoes are designed to be super durable and offer a stiff pedaling platform.
The tread on the Northwave Clan is inspired by Michelin’s Jet XCR tire. The Clan shoes will be available in two different colorways, and should retail for $149.99.
Northwave Tribe
The Northwave Tribe shoes are designed to look and feel a bit more casual, but they should still be more than up to the task of shredding singletrack.
Tribes will be available in four different colorways, and will retail for $99.99.
