Mountain Biking Creve Couer Park

****   Add a review
#19 of 168 mountain bike trails in Missouri
#1,444 in the world

The trail twists and winds down one hillside, crosses a drainage ravine, and then begins the same process up the next hillside towards the back of the park. Interesting trail features include multiple ravine crossings and a banked turn with dips in it. The trail is similar to those at SIUE, with moderate elevation change, and tight and twisty areas through lots of new growth trees. It can be ridden as fast, or as slow as the rider's skills allow. More single track is being added to the west side of the park.

Very few roots and rocks on the main trail, really flows good for slow or fast paced riding. Lots of fun!

Great beginner trail, due to the lack of technical sections such as rock gardens, loose rock/large exposed roots. Trail can be ridden fast, and is a great place to practice control with speed. Without much on the technical side, this trail is really fun to ride. There is not a lot of heart pounding climbs either. Just be cautious of other bikers/hikers that occupy the trail in both directions if going fast.

The trail is in great condition right now. This is a fast and flowy trail. It's a ton of fun if you are in the area or don't have a lot of time, as it's rather short. But do a couple laps in different directions And I believe you'll find it was well worth the stop. Very fun.

This has been my go-to trail because of its close proximity to my house. It can be ridden by beginners and because of it's smooth single track, can be ridden fast. Fast riders beware: there are blind corners and thick vegetation in some spots that can lead to collisions as many people ride this trail in both directions. 5 mile loop that has two short loops that extend from the main loop. Overall smooth, short, flat, fun trail.

Great conditions made for a perfect ride. A bit confusing to navigate at times, got stuck in a one-off loop a couple times. Otherwise great first experience, I'll definitely be back.

Some recent deadfall trees crossing trails and blind corners--beware. Love this trail for a quick afternoon ride.

for my money this trail has the biggest "fun" factor in the st. louis area. at least of the easier trails. matson hill is the more challenging equivalent. this thing has perfect flow. don't expect anything technical, just a fast, rolling good time.

This is a perfect place to take a beginner. The terrain is very steep in most places but the uphills and downhills are moderate due to good layout. Tread is smooth and not technical. Views of the lake are fantastic. Five miles is a little short for an experienced rider but may be all a newby can handle.

Great easy single track just about all smooth dirt. There are very few rocks in this area and the singletrack is growing every year. There is an area or two that can be challenging to beginner but overall is very beginner friendly. This is one of the first trails I ever rode and very much enjoyed it so come out and getcha some!

Fun little track. As a beginner, I found it somewhat challenging.

I met the company that is working on improving the trail. I went here expecting minimal quality ride, and ended up being pleasantly surprised. I live about 10 minutes from here, and with the improvements currently being made...I couldn't be happier. Definitely a cool place for beginners or for anyone looking for a short and fun ride after work.
