Pros: Possesses Great geometry, an all purpose hardtail that is forgiving and capable of taking you to higher levels in biking. SRAM X1 1x11 crisp shifting, Fox Revolution CTD 120 responds accordingly, SLX brakes have saved my 215lbs of bacon, the enthusiast Bontranger duster elite, pro, and elite components have impressed me, and ultimately it's just fun.

Cons: Change out the stock seat, Trek has unfortunately discontinued this particular version of the Stache since 2015.

Recommendation: Great

Pros: Handling, comfort, and speed

Cons: None so far

Recommendation: I love this bike. I've have had other 29ers and this bike has caused it hard to imagine life without a niner plus or how I ever rode without one.

Pros: Plows any terrain with ease and agility. Loaded with options. Puts F.U.N. back into riding a bike.

Cons: Weak wheels flex under load. Heavier than most compareably equipped bikes. Medium frame standover height is snug. Press Fit bottom bracket.

Recommendation: All mountain, any terrain bike that crushes trails and takes the work out of riding difficult sections.

Model/Year: 2016

Pros: Incredibly agile. Don't be discouraged by the large wheels

Cons: None. Maybe that it does not allow a front derailleur?

Recommendation: Very fun bike. For me this obviates the need for a cross-country full suspension bike.

Cons: Price, low-end fork

Pros: Great downhill Good all around bike Looks good Fun to ride Components shift/brake smoothly

Cons: Stock seat uncomfortable Stock grips uncomfortable

Recommendation: This hardtail is sweet. Good climber. Excellent downhill, and looks good too. If your looking for a great trail hardtail that also functions well as an all-arounder, this is your bike
