Event description
This course has become known as one of Moab's most cherished rides. The race will be a mass start by category at Geiser Pass, and will climb untimed to Burro Pass they will be released in 1-minute intervals in order of arrival. From Burro Pass the course will descend through Hazard County, Kokopelli, UPS, LPS, and Porcupine Rim trails. This course will have over 7,000 feet of descending and navigate through 4 climate zones. The local guide books say to allow 5 hours for this ride, but a winning pro time of under 2 hours including the climb from Geiser Pass to Buffalo Pass is expected. All racers will need to ride the mandatory shuttle provided by the race. There will be a Mandatory Rider Meeting on Saturday afternoon at the Archway Inn in Moab, along with packet pick up.
