The O'Neal Pinned sizes range from 36-47 and also felt quite wide when I tested them. https://www.oneal.com/pinned-spd-cycling-shoes/
Thanks for the news, Matt. It will be interesting to see if the trail org can partner with forest management folks to replant native groundcover before the manzanita returns.

Gottatrysomething, there are loads of great jackets for less cash, but unfortunately none with Gor-Tex technology.
This piece is fantastic, Brent! Thank you for sharing y'allz genuine stoke for mountain biking. I will echo a desire for the plans to your jump build. Those things look sweet!

Nice review, Matt! It's cool to see some winter boots that will work with both flats and clipless. The speed-lace system seems like a smart way to go. Untying knots with frozen fingers is never fun.

I didn't see any brands making flats specifically for riders with wide feet while doing this research, but I will certainly keep an eye out. I have tried some ION shoes that were too wide for my feet, and maybe they would work well. For winter riding, 45NRTH makes a handful of warm boots that…

I find it helpful to train with my mountain bike on the road when it's really cold. If I drop the tire pressure to 18-20psi (1.2-1.4 bar) I can get a solid workout in while moving relatively slow, drastically cutting the windchill of road riding. In northern Italy, where i live, road training on mountain…

rmap01, Q1. I think Oliver MA can better answer your fitness question, as I can only comment on this one ebike I rode one time. My sense is that it depends on what kind of fitness you are looking for. If you want to stay generally active and fit you should be able to do…

@craige, I am glad you liked the article and more so stoked that you and your wife are able to enjoy the forest on your ebikes together. That's fantastic! Sidenote: your profile OTB photo is really great.
This is a sweet resource, Matt. Nice work! I would love to learn more about nutrition. I feel like I am often eating sugar to keep from bonking, or I preload too much and can't work as hard as I want to early in a ride. Likely there is a better middle ground? I would…
