@ tommydacat Good catch! I could have mentioned watching the pro riders make humbling and occasionally career changing mistakes, learning what not to do, and that folks who like to watch crashes will certainly see a few full-on dirt naps. That shot is from the a 2019 World Cup in Les Gets, France. Watching those…
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it @marvinmartian!

A load of frames have included geometry adjustment gadgets that allow us to dial the bike to our liking. I'm curious how many of you have made use of those gadgets, and what...

Thanks for your concern, Matt. I genuinely appreciate it. I have dialed back the "do dumb stuff" meter a touch since that last adventure for sure. Cheers!
Great work on this video, Matt! Also, that trail looks sik.
@m.krupp, you and Justin make both good points, and I think the takeaway from this adventure is that sometimes there are things no one anticipated that you couldn't have known to prepare for. I was ready for the cold weather and 3-4hr ride I was invited on, but there was no way to know that…
Thanks for the great read, Roger! If only we knew now what we knew then... I too had a partial breakup with Strava a while back, following a silly argument with my ego. We're still not speaking, though they email occasionally.

Hey Sam, I haven't had any trouble moving around while riding. On steeper trails, it stays put, and I haven't noticed it hitting my helmet, though I do ride decidedly slower and more cautiously with a few thousand € of camera gear on my back.

@Justin White, I'm not racing cross these days, and the 32mm slicks work well for any dirt road riding (senza snow) when the trails are too wet.

@SKeen yeah, the comando ride is not everyone's bag. I've heard from a lot of folks who wear wool or otherwise stank-reducing drawrs for the exact reason you mentioned. They can keep your anatomy in place and are less expensive and bulky than a fancy chamois. Cheers!
@Mick-e, I know niente about it. Is it for Valentino Rossi? What's the trike bit?
@streighty, you make a great point. While I am enjoying riding without a backpack, I seldom leave the house without a back protector. Some days it certainly makes more sense to combine those two things.
Thanks jgmtb! I certainly learned some important takeaway points for future adventures, as we do, and will no doubt find carry them into the future. Onward!
