There’s nothing like riding fresh dirt, and exploring new places! Each month Singletracks gets to share news about the latest mountain bike trail openings from around the world, and we couldn’t be more stoked. Thanks to all the planners, organizers, builders, and funders out there — without you, we wouldn’t have so many great places to ride.

Atwood Trails (New Milford, Illinois): In 2019 we wrote about new mountain bike trails along the Kishwaukee River, and this month phase two of the Atwood project was completed. The latest project adds a couple miles of trails to bring the total to 6.5 miles. There are plans to eventually open 20 miles of singletrack.
East Zion Trails (Springdale, Utah): The first phase of the East Zion mountain bike trail project opened this month with 10 miles of singletrack, and another 24.5 miles on the way. Read more about the project here.
El Depot Mountain Bike Park (Belfast, Maine): These bench-cut, beginner-friendly trails were spearheaded by local rider Chris Gardner.
George Town Mountain Bike Trail (George Town, Tasmania): The first of several phases in this $4.4M trail project opened this month with 15km of trails. Note: The opening has been delayed due to weather and trail conditions.
East Glade Trailhead Skills Park (Farmington, New Mexico): A new skills park was added to the Glade Run Recreation area which is undergoing a large project to add new trails and improve existing facilities.
John Hunt Park (Huntsville, Alabama): The Huntsville Area Mountain Bike Riders recently took the wraps off a new directional, intermediate-level mountain bike trail in John Hunt Park.
Liberty Bell High School Trails (Winthrop, Washington): These somewhat loose and rocky trails are set to host student cycling races.
Limekiln East (Nashville, Indiana): The beloved Brown County trail system continues to grow with the addition of the Limekiln Trail, a 1.6-mile beginner friendly track that opened in October.
Mt. Sabattis (Long Lake, New York): The first 1.2 miles of singletrack was recently completed at Mt. Sebattis Recreation Area, and there are plans for more trails to be opened soon.
Perry Hill (Waterbury, Vermont): A 1,500-foot extension to the Six Flags trail at Perry Hill was recently completed.
Riverview Park (Buellton, California): Riverview Park added a new bike skills course this month.
Updated 10/29/21 with last-minute trail additions, and an update on conditions at the George Town trails.
