The Habit looks to be a good “do it all” bike. 120mm of travel doesn’t sound like much, but when it’s paired with proper geometry and a solid parts spec, bikes in this category can be surprisingly capable. To that end, Cannondale went with a 68.5-degree head tube angle, a 74-degree seat tube, and good standover clearance on all sizes. Decently wide 760mm bars are spec’d across the entire range. Reach is a healthy 450mm for a size large frame. On paper, at least, it’s checking all the right boxes.

120-140mm travel bikes are the meat of the mountain bike market. These bikes will get used for everything from casual rides to XC races to enduro to backcountry riding. With the number of Habit models Cannondale is offering–3 aluminum, 3 carbon/aluminum, and 2 full carbon–it sounds like they expect it to be a high-volume seller for them.
