Today Yeti announces the Yeti Beti line of mountain bikes geared toward women. The first two bikes in the line–the Beti ASRc and SB5c–offer tweaks on the popular ASRc and SB5c bikes, making these steeds even more accessible to female riders.

Yeti already offered small and extra-small sizes for their ASRc and SB5c bikes, making these popular choices for many female riders. In addition, the ASRc is spec’d with smaller wheels (27.5) on the small and extra-small frames for a better overall fit and geometry. The company claims low standover height has always been a focus of its frame designs too, keeping Yeti bikes accessible for shorter riders.

Perhaps the biggest difference riders will see in the Beti ASRc and SB5c bikes is in the suspension tuning out of the box. The rear shocks are set up with less rebound damping, which should work better for lighter riders than a standard tuning profile.

In addition, the Betis are spec’d with grips designed for smaller hands; the WTB Deva saddle (a popular choice for many women, though not women’s-specific); narrower, 720mm handlebars; and shorter, 170mm crank arms (the standard build included 175mm cranks). Not only that, the Betis will feature glossy finishes and colors inspired by Yeti’s women’s clothing line. Yeti decided to go with glossy finishes on the Beti bikes based on feedback from female riders who prefer the clean look of gloss over a matte finish. Hey, I’m with you ladies–glossy bikes are much easier to keep clean!

Look for the Beti ASRc and SB5c bikes to be available starting June 25. The ASRc (X01 build) will retail for $5,799 and the SB5c (X01 build) will retail for $6,899.
