Mountain to Meadow is one of the best intermediate trails on the planet. It's 5 miles long and descends over 1500 feet. It is a well designed, purpose-built, machine made down-sloping mountain bike trail. You'll encounter flowing bermed corners, rollers, little jumps, switchbacks, great scenery and nothing very threatening. It's a masterpiece and loads of fun!
The best way to take care of the shuttle logistics is to park your car near the bus stop on Ousel Falls Road down in Big Sky town. That's the end of the trail. Then take the bus to the start of the trail in Big Sky Resort. The bus is frequent, free and it takes bikes. Timetable at the visitor centers. Easy!
Mountain to Meadow is a fun trail that combines stunning scenery with back-country adventure and superb mellow technical singletrack. It's a triple whammy! On top of that it's down-sloping (not Downhill!) all the way after you've grunted your way up the access tracks from Big Sky Resort.
