A black and white mountain bike is leaning against a wooden signpost with directional arrows for Buckhorn Road, Little Pine, Camuesa Road, and Pendola, set against a backdrop of rolling hills and a clear blue sky. Dry grass covers the ground around the bike, indicating a sunny, arid environment. Little Pine Mountain mountain bike trail.

As I prepared my bike at the staging area, a local [unnamed] aid Little Pine t. was a bitchin ride. He warned me that I would have run high and shoulder my bike to clear one of the landslide sections. As I was riding alone, I took him at his word. At 2.5 miles up the trail there is a ride on the right called Cameasu Connector. Not near the exposure as Buckhorn but just as fun. It was about 4 miles down and up to Paradise road. Then an easy pedal, with a mile of singletrack back to the traihead. The first 2.5 miles up Buckhorn will eork you out.
It was a less itimidating ride

Great route. Tough fireroad climb followed by an awesome ST downhill. I rode this in the spring and the wildflowers were everywhere. A little exposed in places but rideable.

Long fire road climb. Steep at bottom then levels out for a long grind. Downhill off of Upper Oso is a little sketchy at the top. Lots of off camber narrow single track. Be cautious or fall a long way down. On a hot day it is a 4 bottle ride.
