Trail Description
About this trail
Comprised of two loops (with expansion plans in the future). First loop is called waterfall loop. about 2 miles. It is an intermediate single track with excellent opportunities to practice skills in a low risk environment. Omega loop is similar terrain with a couple of sections that can be fast if you want them to be. Fun trails if you live in the area. You will get a work out. Plenty of rock gardens to keep you on your toes.

Description from fredgames:
Brier Creek consists of two stacked loops with a connector in between. The first loop is called Waterfall and second Omega. There is also a new, beautiful connector trail that goes off Omega. It has great lake views as well as rock outcroppings and a waterfall. At the end of the connector trail you cross two pontoons to get on the Pointe Loop. This is still under construction but should be done by Fall 2014. There is also a downhill flow trail in the works. This is a great trail system, a diamond in the rough that is roughly 10 miles from the Big Hollow Trail system at Mammoth Cave.

Review: A awesome trail system. This place is pretty well kept. There a lot of places you can get some air and the whole place has a good flow

Review: It had been 3-4 years since riding here and I had forgotten just how much fun this trail is. There are some rocky sections, plenty of roots and a couple of short climbs, but all very rideable. The views along the Point Loop are fantastic. ~ We sprayed ourselves with tick & bug spray prior and did not get any ticks on us as mentioned in another review. ~ There is a nice bathroom near the trail head - intended for campers. ~ One note: take any and everything you may need with you; food, supplies, etc. There is nowhere in the area to buy anything you may have forgotten.

Review: So, the BEST maintained trails I've been on, besides Fla, where they're used all year long. Ticks are BAAAAD in Ky mid-summer, but they even cut vegetation a few feet away from trail in most places. Recent evidence of trail maintenance with tree & debrise clearings shows this group in on top of maintaining great trails to ride! Nice views around this beautiful lake ! A little challenging for cardio plus roots & rocks !

Review: Omega loop and waterfall trail are excellent! Omega downhill is pretty fun. *****The extended trail across the water bridge is littered with lake debris from the flood. Many sections of the trail are not rideable at this time*****

Review: They were still working on it when I last rode it but it was really good. The parts near the front were more technical and rocky but in the back they were constructing a section that was faster with berms and stuff. The trail was a nice combination of flow and technical features that made it very interesting.

Review: OMEGA FLOW!!! Some pretty tough, technical stuff right out of the gate, but it gets easier further in, with some challenging stuff still mixed in. Omega Flow is amazingly fun. Beautiful trail overall.

Review: Worth the trip for this intermediate trail system. Plenty of rocky and rooty challenges and a climb or two that are neither terrible nor too easy. The Omega flow is fast and rocky with berms and drops but still possible to ride safely for all but the most cautious /skiddish riders. On the point loop there are areas where the trail almost disappears where grass is growing up. Got to ride our trails guys or they go away. Sack up and take on a technical trail once in a while all you XC mountain bikers!! Taking all right turns from the trailhead should yield about 8 miles. Bug spray is a must so come prepared. I picked off more than 20 ticks my last ride on my legs (I had only sprayed my shoes).

Review: Would not recommend taking the kids on this one. I went by myself an the climb at the beginning was a little challenging to say the least..or I was out of shape! The downhill section was awesome and fast! I loved hitting all the burms an seeing the huge rocks an cliff face at the bottom of the hill. The loop on the backside seemed to be nice, good view of the lake an more flat. Highly recommend this trail! Bring the tent an stay for the weekend on the lake!

Review: enjoyed......just want to remind people that if we don't use the trails they will go away. some sections looked like they haven't seen as much use. Technical and fun.

Review: Another great trail less than 2 hours from Louisville, woohoo!

From low grade uphills, to fast XC sections, to small rock gardens, and the Omega Downhill Flow trail . . . this trail is a blast.

Saw deer and other critters along the way, not to mention 40 foot rock faces/boulders and lakeside views.

What's not to love about Brier Creek?

I will rate this trail a 5 once there is a little more traffic in The Point Loop/XC section.

Is there potential for more development? Yes, please, and thank you KyMBA!!!
