The trail is only 5 miles long but jumps from 6500 ft in elevation at the bottom trail head to 7600 ft at the top. It is a shared trail with ATVs. From the bottom the first mile of trail is a hard climb up out of the canyon over big solid rocks with loose rocks all over. One you pass that first mile the trail is quite mild and crosses the meadows and washes as you climb up out of the sandstone formation into the limestone of the high alpine area above. Riding down is the payoff and it is fast! AT the tops the trail is very flawy and has some good opportunity for jumps along the way and is technically mild until you begin dropping back into Ferron Canyon.
This Trail is a fun trail to ride down but up it is killer. I would suggest actually riding it as a connector to get back to Millsite after be shuttled up and riding the Josephine Point trail. The trail itself is steep and winds it's way from Ferron Canyon to the Forrest Road where a number of trails from above filter down to like Josephine Point Trail, and Big Bear Trail.
