Trail Description
About this trail
This trail takes you up along the edge of the open prairie of tall grass then into the woods . You will ride the hillside along Badger Creek . About 1/2 mile the trail splits . I like to take the trail to the right . This trail winds further up the hill . This part of the trail is mostly dirt , rocks , and roots with some nice technical challenges . Getting deeper into the woods this trail has some nice flat rock challenges and small creek crossings . Now getting to the half way point you will hit some short fast downhill leading to the tricky flat rock bluffs . On the back side of the trail you will ride down some rugged rocks and cross gnarly creek beds . Now heading back you will ride through the large boulders . Great landscape to ride . Getting near the trailhead to your right you will see the low water bridge . Great view from the trail . The trail doubles back to the trailhead . The Kansas Trail Council really did this trail right . Come test your skills .

Review: After riding the north trail I attacked this trail. The insane amount of rain we've had this year has changed this trail. The rock is more present and more abundant. The trail was in good shape but also leaf covered. Lack of trail markers had me guessing where to go in some places. This trail could use some attention also.

Review: This trail is quite frustrating, comparing what it could be to what it is. There are a zillion annoying little drainages. Even so, the place retains water like crazy, and not just on the low spots. There are some cool natural rock features, but the trail is more annoying technical than fun technical. It'd be worth hitting, at least during those rare moments when it's not a wet mess, if it was at least conveniently accessible, but it's in the middle of nowhere, far out of the way for anywhere.

Review: Excellent trails. Challenging sections mixed with easier sections for recovery. I rode it with a 29 hardtail and had no problems. The trail is in an oak forest with alot off cool rock formations. Definatly one of the best in Kansas. North and south are about equal in difficulty.

Review: Great trail, ride this before you hit the north side. There are some climbing sections that you don't realize you are in until your out of breath.

Review: A short trail with great scenic views and beautiful natural landscape. Good technical challenges along the way. I helped a few times during the building of the trail and miss it since moving out of state.

Review: Lots of modertely challenging technical. Lots of shade through wooded areas. Several rock gardens. Combine this with the other Badger Creek trail just 100 yds away for a great ride!

Review: Fun trail, lots of diversity from switch backs to log crossings and some rather large boulders to navigate. I would recommend taking plenty of water and flat repair if you drive as far as I did as it is kind of in the middle of nowhere, like any good trail lol. Recommended
