After riding several bikes over the last few years, I can say that this is the best twenty niner I have ridden. It climbs well and rails on the descents. I have tried it both 29er and 27 and find it to steer quicker and accelerate quicker in 29er guise. I ride in some pretty steep terrain and miss the 28t chainring from my Specialized 6fattie. But climbs are not unridable just requires more effort. I have the CC XO1 and have converted the fork to 150mm and have not noticed any detriment in climbing performance. I am still messing around with suspension settings but even without being fully set up this bike is awesome. It is not as quick steering as my previous 650b bikes but it does roll over obstacles with less jarring on the hands and buttocks. Spec is great, looks are great and threaded bottom bracket is creek free. If you have the funds get this bike because you won't regret it!

    Pros
Light yet stout, nimble, 27 compatible

    Cons
Tall gearing for climbing steep climbs

I highly recommend this bike, I've ridden a multitude of bikes over the last 30 years of MT. biking, this is an awesome bike!

    Pros
BEAST MODE IN ALL ASPECTS, CLIMBING, DESCENDING! I have been on it for 2 months and have ridden with both 650b and 29er. Surprised how much I love it with plus size tyres. Best carving 29er I've ever ridden.

    Cons
Pedal strikes. I keep it in the low chip mode. This is the only reason I give it 4 stars, even with this I'd give it 41/2 stars!
