The new Tepui Foothill tent from Thule has a unique footprint that leaves space for bikes or surfboards or whatever adventure toys you want to mount on the roof. The shelter’s closed dimensions are 83” x 24” x 9.5” (LxWxH) and it opens up to a cozy 83” x 47” x 40”. It weighs 110lbs. all told and can hold up to 400lbs. of humans.

Priced at $1,699.95, the Tepui Foothill is definitely on the luxury side of adventure equipment, and it has some cool features beyond fitting alongside bikes. The telescoping inner frame poles can be set up by a single person, and it comes with installation rails that are said to make it easy to install and remove as you like. The broad rain tarp covers a large rear window and two skylights for constellation counting.

The tent will be available at Thule.com, REI, and other retailers where Thule products are sold starting in Feb. 2021.
