SDG has some new grips out following the release of their redesigned Bel-Air saddle. The new Thrice grips are purely an SDG design, just like their popular HanSolo grip from the past. After testing several designs and prototypes, with different thicknesses, texture angles, and material composites, they came up with the Thrice.
The Thrice has an integrated one-piece lock, with an in-molded collar and stainless steel bolts. This design also helps SDG reduce the weight in these grips, when compared with a traditional alloy lock ring. The SDG Lock-On system has a tapered, slotted inner core that secures the grips to the bars.
The Thrice team at SDG designed the grip with an ovalized profile for an ergonomic feel and maximum comfort. The grips have an extended mushroom design with collapsible ribs. SDG says this makes for a predictable feel, especially with the flared outer ends.
The SDG Thrice grips also come in two diameters, 31mm and 33mm, both with the same 136mm length, and weigh a claimed 38g and 48g, respectively. There are seven colors, and both retail for $20.
