Check out this launch video describing the all new, more affordable SRAM GX Eagle™ 12-speed drivetrain. Starting at $495 for the group (not including bottom bracket or required XD driver.) The least expensive group (trigger shifter, rear derailleur, crankset, cassette, and chain) weighs in at 1782g. There’s a lighter, slightly more expensive crankset option that brings the group price up to $545 while dropping the overall group weight to 1730g.
Looks likes early adopter sales of Eagle have slowed down, gotta stop that artificially scarcity.
Ohhhhh nooooo. Looks like the bank account is about to take a hit. =)
The cassette is quite expensive compared to the normal GX cassette when comparing X01 Eagle vs. non-Eagle and XX1 Eagle vs. non-Eagle cassettes. But it’s much more affordable and exciting to have something so accessible!
man, that looks do-able now. when should we expect the other S component company to respond?
Love that the prices are coming down, and likely will keep coming down. The video is pretty funny when you consider that they are advertising a 12 speed gearing system by showing them ride downhill. A 1×9 would have been just fine, haha.
