Cannondale has released a new Moterra Neo e-MTB today and the bike has a more powerful drive unit, updated geometry, carbon and alloy versions, and a long-travel package.

The new Moterra Neo has a “Mega-range” Bosch Smart System with a 750Wh battery and Bosch’s Performance Line CX motor that delivers a peak 85Nm of torque. The system incorporates an integrated LED control unit with a buttonless display that can be customized through the Bosch Flow App.

Cannondale’s Proportional Response helps riders get the right bike for their height. Proportional Response is a size-specific approach applied to Cannondale’s line that adjusts the geometry, suspension layout, and chainstay length of each model size. Cannondale says this helps center the rider between the wheels for better handling and traction both uphill and downhill. Riders will notice different geometry measurements like chainstay size throughout the size range and Cannondale says the suspension characteristics are unique to each size.

The geometry has also been updated with a slacker 65° head tube angle and a 77° seat tube angle. On a medium Carbon Neo, the seat tube measures 430mm in length, the wheelbase is 1,235mm, the reach is 455mm, and the chainstays are 455mm. For the LT, the head tube drops to 64° and the STA is 76.5°, and the wheelbase increases to 1,242mm, while the reach decreases slightly to 446mm.

Other features on the Moterra Neo include an easily removable battery with a sealed cover, a concealed stem that routes cables through the head tube and some models will come with a 1000 lumen Lezyne light, a rear fender and rack mount, and a kickstand.

The Moterra Neo comes in three platforms: a Moterra Neo Carbon, the Moterra Neo Alloy, and the Moterra Neo LT (long travel). All of them come in sizes small through extra-large. The Carbon and Alloy models will have 150mm of front and rear travel while the LT will have 165mm of rear travel and a 170mm fork with a mixed-wheel setup. Each platform will have different build options.

Prices range from $5,850 to $8,600. For more information see the Cannondale website.
