This is a great bike for the price for someone that is starting out and wants a decent 29er.

You can probably find some decent used deals too.

Hey, sounds like the biking bug really did bite you! Congrats on another bike 😄

Thanks, got a great deal on this one…

Just spoke to the guy at the shop…It’s a 60$ part and an oil change but labor will be minimal if any because I bought it from them….will be up and running for under 100$ 😀 "Hopefully…lol"

    Mechanically inclined? Rebuild it!

Not so much? Send it off to some experts!

I’m pretty mechanically inclined, but I’ll probably send this one back before I start learning on it….I want to ride asap lol……Waiting on a call back from the shop I got it from, I’ll probably get a really good deal on a rebuild since they told me it stopped leaking when they did whatever they did to it.

I priced out the wheelset and fork….together they cost more than what I paid, few other upgrades on it also….Everything else is in good shape, and really smooth shifting/riding.

I just called this bike shop that sells giants, and they have a 2007 Specialized Enduro elite with upgrades for 650$…

Also, I’m wondering if I should just tuff it out on my airborne sabre….I just got a set of double walled wheels for it after bending front once and back twice lol

"Btw anyone looking into Airborne’s lower end 26" …get the skyhawk….for 100$ more you get double walled wheels, hydrolic disc"

Even 1500$ is pushing it for me, I don’t have to many crazy trails here in Florida, lots of roots though. I tried riding my friends rockhopper 29er and it feels like I can’t turn the damn thing lol. If I could make the Yukon last me for about 3 years or so that would be perfect, I’ll be done with school then making some decent money 😀

Sweet, I haven’t seen Pedal Driven yet. I’ll definitely add that to my instant queue.

Really good watch, just saw Fixation after that….I think I would pass out trying to get up one hill with one of those….

I haven’t had a good one yet, but last weekend we were doing an advanced trail "advanced for the area I guess….is said very difficult on it lol" Kendra my wife was going a little to fast around a corner, pedal jumped a root and flew over the handlebars ….while I was waiting for her at the end of the trail …. I guess she pretty much did a superman over the bars and slid about 6-7 feet lol. She pulled up covered in dirt and leaves a few minutes later laughing. Glad I know she is extremely tuff getting into this sport 😀

It would be cool if our new grips bore the name we gave them though. I’m definitely happy with getting grips. Can’t wait to try them out.

If I can manage to stay ahead of Detonator with my Pistol Grips at least we will have the name coming from Singletracks 😀…..I want this contest to hurry and end while I’m in the lead lol

I’m almost tied with Detonator 18% v 19% …..but whatever happens….these grips look lovely. "But a Carbon handlebar and titanium stem will look nice on my cheap entry bike" lol

Just did 14.1 Miles today and no bent wheels ;) ….was a lot smoother ride this time. Thanks for the tips!
