feeling kind of lonely in southeastern NM. i see roadies all the time but no fat tires. we have trails. will work for food. i know of a few trails in carlsbad/roswell but never see too many folks out there. i feel like will smith in ‘i am legend.’ somebody, anybody – fix this mess.

I planned a trip to Cloudcroft and the Dona Ana Mountains for 10/10-13 but got no takers here in Tucson. Wanted to ride the Rim Trail, High Altitude Race Course, Dona Anas and perhaps a descent to Alamogordo.
How well do you know these trails?
Was also trying to time the autumn leaves. Are the trails in the pine, spruce, fir forest or do many of the trees lose their leaves?
I will try to plan this trip again, next autumn. Mountain bikers never call it FALL!
