project Dimondback X6 help…

      Im having a couple problems with my 2001 dimondback X6 downhill mountain bike. i got the frame from a good freind and im taking my old parts off my giant rincon and putting them on my dimondback when i encounterd a problem with the rear disk brake pad. the pad mount off my old giant is: I_F180/R160 and i have no idea what it means but when i tryed mountaing it, it would run up agenst my rear tire holder and the holes wouldent aline corectly… anything recomendations? thanks 😃

      F180 refers to a mount that fits a 180mm front rotor.
      R160 refers to a mount that fits a 160mm rear rotor.

      Your current frame and previous frame probably use different mounts. There are two different kinds of mounts that are common. Post and I.S.

      You can goolge them to see the difference but you will need to figure out which one your frame uses and get the appropriate size and style for your rear rotor size and brake mount style.
