So i came across this the other day, and i wanted to know what everyones thought were on this "Simon" thing.

To me, the "averave joe" you could say, it just looks like a really pricey suspension that is capable of lots and lots of problems. Do we really need a computer to tell your bikes how to react? I just say hit the trails and turn and burn? and a battery that could die before your ride is over.. huh..
I could keep going on this thing but gunna keep my inexperience to my self for now.

I dunno, i just dont see this thing working all that well. let me know what yous think.

It seems like it’s a long way from reality but the general concept of a fork that self adjusts seems like a killer idea to me.

BTW, a little more reading material in case you haven’t already seen it.

Maybe if the cpu monitored the shock and automatically adjusted it to the terrain may be of us to professional racers. They could even combine a lazer matrix to the front so it can predict the on coming terrain.

I dont think it would be of use to most riders, except those with an awful lot of money to spare, but personally i would just use it to buy two more bikes

WOW, whats next? An impact preventing foam that encapsulates the rider in case of a crash like they had in cars on that 90’s movie Demolition Man? LOL

Yeah, from what we’ve heard the Simon is still very much a tech concept – nothing is close to production yet. Cannondale isn’t shy about releasing specs and pics for concept bikes and accessories – here are just a couple from the last year or two:

Like the Simon, neither of these concepts are in production. But if you showed me a concept bike with a "Lefty" fork ten years ago I would have said that will never see the light of day – so you never know…
