Never heard of a 9" travel on a seat post before. But I found it
http://www.rasebike.com/demo.htm $379…What about a tame 3" of auto-seat drop which is tons on a trail bike.
I use the Crank Bro Joplin remote. Infinitely variable, (Gravity has "notched" dropping) with a simple handlebar lever for on the fly adjustment. Hydraulically dampened, to have a slow even return, so it doesn’t punch the package.

I got mine from modernbike.com approx $200 the cheapest I’ve found. The greatest performance option on my bike when the trail angles change!

Seemed pretty solid and as you can see from the photo it has a ton of room for adjustment!
