After sitting out 2020, Red Bull recently released the athlete lineup for 2021 and there are two rookies — Jaxson Riddle and Brage Vestavik — among a field of familiar faces. Following the announcement, Vestavik posted on Facebook, “Getting invited to this event is crazy! Been the sickest event since long before I started riding and I remember watching it everyday on dvd as a kid! Honoured to ride the desert of Utah in October with all the legends! Hyped!”

Jackson had this to say: “It’s a tremendous honor to be invited to Red Bull Rampage for the first time. I’m ready to compete on the biggest stage in the sport. I grew up just miles down the road watching this contest so to be among my idols and compete alongside them is going to be such a huge accomplishment.”

In addition to the top ten riders who were invited and the five wildcard athletes, Red Bull also named five alternates — Thomas Genon, Emil Johansson, Reed Boggs, DJ Brandt, and Antoine Bizet — in case any of the fifteen athletes declines their spot before September 27.

The event returns to its venue in Southwestern Utah and sticks to its usual format with four days for riders and their crews to build lines, followed by four days of practice before the competition.

Red Bull Rampage 2021 is scheduled for October 15 and tickets go on sale to the public one week from today, on August 20 at 12p EDT. For more information and to order tickets, visit www.redbull.com/us-en/events/rampage.
