More information from IMBA’s press release:

UPRISING is two-and-a-half days of hands-on collaboration among dedicated, engaged and influential women in the sport to share, learn and ride together in beautiful Northwest Arkansas. The event will highlight the best women’s riding efforts happening across the country in a format designed to provide best practices, information, resources and networking opportunities centered around four guiding principles: Build, Ride, Learn and Engage. Join leading female trail builders, IMBA chapter presidents, ride leaders, coaches and advocates who are influencing an evolution in mountain biking.

“In 2018 IMBA will celebrate thirty years. We have seen the sport grow and evolve, and it’s our duty as a national educational organization to ensure IMBA’s programming continues to serve mountain bikers’ needs. UPRISING is a new step in this commitment,” said Aimee Ross, IMBA Director of Brand Development.

IMBA intends to take the wealth of information shared during UPRISING and make those resources available to the broader mountain bike community. IMBA knows women are tremendously influential in their local communities, and is committed to being an aggregator of educational information, resources and inspiration to get more women riding, learning and inspiring others to get involved. IMBA believes mountain biking changes lives and improves communities, and wants everyone to have a place to ride a mountain bike.
