SORBA Woodstock is hosting the Pedalpalooza Bike Festival at Blankets Creek this Cinco de Mayo and the schedule is jam-packed with activities. Singletracks will be there with a tent and we can’t wait to hit the trail!
Here’s what’s happening according toSORBA Woodstock:
The day features group rides, games, skills clinics and fun events for all ages. The activity centers around the vendor activity in the parking lot which will include free demo rides from Pivot Cycles, Trek, Specialized, Lynskey Bikes and more, great riding opportunities on our many trails, and the downhill hill course located approximately one-half mile from the trailhead.
Ethan Quehl, US National Downhill Champion and trail designer/builder will give a downhill skills clinic that focuses on riding position, picking the fastest line and cornering. Well have kids rides and skills clinics, womens only rides, group rides for all skills levels, a bunny hop contest, tire changing contest, food, music, and fun for all ages and interests.
The highlight of Pedalpalooza is the Super D Downhill mountain bike race, a race that combines the excitement of downhill racing with the rigors of a short cross country course. There will be plenty of spectator excitement as the race ends on our downhill course and finishes with a wall ride on our Quehl Holler downhill course, which is a crowd favorite.
