Why is a bike brand riders may not have heard of, but the small company has been quietly building titanium mountain bikes in Carbondale, CO for a couple years. Their newest bike, Big Iron, is a hardtail fat bike that’s designed to run multiple wheel sizes from 26×5 up to 29×3.0.
The bike features sliding dropouts and a “stealthy” belt drive split for those who opt to run a Gates Carbon Drive. Thanks to those dropouts, the chainstay length is adjustable from 445mm to 460mm, while the 68.7° head tube angle is steep enough to make steady climbs bearable, while not taking itself too seriously. The Big Iron frame features internal routing for a rear derailleur and a dropper post plus extra bosses for water bottle cages, fenders, and rack mounts.
Prices start at $2249 for a frame, with complete builds starting at $3999. The company is taking pre-orders with a $500 deposit and says the bikes should begin shipping July 1 in plenty of time for fat biking season in the northern hemisphere.
