Clearly something is in the water. Hot on the heels of Fox announcing an all-new, lightweight 120mm Step-Cast 34 fork, RockShox drops an all-new SID RL and SID RLC with 120mm of travel. Claiming “Trail is the new XC” already feels like old news. RockShox confirms as much in their description of the SID RLC.

It’s no lie that XC racing has gotten rowdier over the years so SID has grown in size to take on the challenge. The new SID 120 is bigger and burlier but still has an unwavering dedication to lightweight, precision, performance, and speed. Also, its new DebonAir™ air spring keeps the rowdy under complete control whether negotiating rock gardens or hucking off drops.

The new SID RL and RLC forks are currently only available for the 29er wheel size, and with weights starting at 1560g, the SID is now one of the lightest, if not the lightest, 120mm travel mountain bike forks on the market.

Prices start at $559 (€669) for the RL version and $779 (€869) for the RLC. Look for product availability beginning in May, 2018.

The SID World Cup has been updated as well, fitted with a new version of the DebonAir air spring and Charger2 damper, plus compatibility with the new TwistLoc remote. The World Cup SID still offers 100mm of travel.
