Mountain Biking Warm Springs Trail System

*****   Add a review
#28 of 265 mountain bike trails in Montana
#2,486 in the world

The Warm Springs Creek and Ridge Trails have some of the best singletrack, best views, and best fun around. These trails will challenge intermediate to advanced and expert riders.

Access information:

The Warm Springs Trails can be accessed from three areas. Loops start from two trailheads on the Medicine Springs Road about 3 miles north of Sula, MT on US-93; Warm Springs Ridge Trailhead and Warms Springs Creek Trailhead adjacent to Crazy Creek Campground 4 miles up the Medicine Springs Road.

Shuttles start at the top of Lost Trail Ski Area just off of Lost Trail Pass on US-93 at the Idaho/Montana stateline. Drive through the ski area parking lot and take the road just to the left of the ski area lodge and ski shop buildings. It is about 3 miles to the Colter Creek Trail on this road, but a good shuttle dropoff spot is at the clearing where the road levels out.

You can also shuttle from the Porcupine Saddle Trailhead at the end of USFS Road #8112. This road is accessed near Indian Trees Campground and Lost Trail Hot Springs and it is 8.5 miles from US-93 to the trailhead.

This ended up being an amazing ride. There are a few hills that were too steep to ride, but that could just be my fitness level. Kudos to the groups who maintain this trail. Great views, great single track, and amazing cross country ride!

One of thee best kept secrets in the Northern Rockies. High octane fun with a bit of everything in this backcountry ride and a insanely awesome downhill to finish. Access it from Lost Trail Pass Ski Area and ride north coming out down the road from Sula. Shuttle is best option. Big one!
