Review: This review is for "thunder mountain bike park".. Really there should be a separate listing for the DH park vs the local trail system.. This place is in it's 3rd year and the amount of trail work and new trails expands with every year.. I was just there and what I consider the end of the year.. The trails were still in great shape with no chunder in the corners.. Just excellently maintained.. Sadly this was my only ride there this past summer and I'm wishing I would have gotten there more.. I have ridden nearly all the trails there since the day it's opened and just be careful as some of the trails have changed as they restructure from one year to the next and refine the trails.. Green easy, blue little harder, black diamond Hard, and 2X black diamond a lot harder.. When I first started riding there I would ride everything with pretty much being at ease.. last ride on the 2X black diamond which is big jump and drop trail which I have ridden before with a huge jump at the end.. They had changed the launch angle at the jump and I crashed as I was thinking it was the same launch platform it was the year before.. Just a few lumps and bruises.. I wore my armor as it was the first ride of the year DH.. Anyhow was a blast..

Review: This is now THUNDER MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK. Copy and paste the link below for an awesome highlight video from Thunder Mountain. Thunder mountain is definitely the best riding in MA if you like going down... fast! Lift access to the top and an array of sick trails going down. From beginner flowy tabletop trails to intense rocky enduro trails there is something for everyone. I post new videos from different spots around New England every Monday, so be sure to subscribe for more! Link: https://youtu.be/FdF20X_Z_AA

Review: Many people get highland mountain bike park and charlemont trail (system) confused. Charlemont trails is all around the town of Charelmont. Most of these trails are behind zoar outdoor and the warfield house. These trails are great fun . You can pick up a map at Zoar Outdoor. While riding behind zoar outdoor and warfield house you can view Berkshire East which now has the Thunder Mountain BIke Park. That is run by berkshire east and has great flowy downhill trails, with a bike lift to the top too. This whole satuation continues to become increasinly complicated, some of the charlemont trail system resides on berkshire east which hosts the Thunder mountain bike park. These trails part of the charlemont trail system also wind off the property of Berkshire East too. I have not ridden the single track near berkshire east, only that behind the warfeild house and zoar outdoor. The map that can be picked up at zoar outdoor shows these trails. Additionally Thunder Mountains map shows a few of the XC CTS (and acknowledge that they are CTS) trails on it but, these are not patrolled by Thunder Mountain. For updates on the CTS system look them up on facebook.

Review: Well, it's not really Charlemont trails anymore.. it's Thunder Mountain bike park.. It's a lift based bike park with a 1500ft ski mountain where they have installed some nice man made flowy trails and then some more knarly downhill single track..

there are still a few of the original Charlemont trails in use but the main attraction is the lift access..

Review: This is a great and growing area. The trails are a net work of advanced internediate single track. That being said there are some easier trails here as well. The hills are creatively tackled with twisty switch backs. Some good views of Berkshire east can be found too. Lots of fun
