Trail Description
About this trail
This trail has just officially been approved by the Minneapolis Park Board at and official activity. This means, mountain biking is treated just like baseball, soccer, and other similar activities.....so this is totally killer. The trail itself is a very good flowing singletrack. It's considered an intermediate trail with a few more advanced features here and there, with bypasses. In 2006, we plan to build an expert section and a few more miles of singletrack. This trail is about 5 minutes out of downtown Minneapolis and is in a very nicely wooded area. When you are riding there, you would never guess you are in a big urban area.....that's pretty darn cool if you ask me.

Review: Lots of twists and turns with a few rock features. The ground is more on the sandy side and is well maintained overall.

Review: Not a bad spot to meet up with some pals for a quick ride after work or early in the morning. Nothing too technical on three main loops. Can't wait to try the fat bike out here this winter.

Review: This is a series of nice little trails spread out along Theo. Wirth Parkway in Minneapolis. Yes, it is right by a busy street but it is in a nature preserve area and park. There are four sections starting with the main section by the Par 3 golf club house where you park. More like an urban skills course that is about six miles in length! A fifth section along Brownie Lake, south of I-394 is supposed to come online in the near future. Someone from the mountains would be pleasantly surprised..rock gardens, hills, berms, technical stuff.

Review: Nice trainer course for all the other trails in the area. The two sections north of Hwy. 55 are good technical while the Glenwood Spur is good cardio and climbing with great banks.

Similar Trail: Carver Lake very similar in Woodbury

Review: Had a great time on the trail. Marked well and in super shape. The only problem we encountered was with the directions on this app. They took us to an incorrect destination, but close. Be aware.

Review: Some of the best trails I've ridden inside a major city! The northern loop is tight and technical, the southern loops are fast and flowy with great banked turns, small jumps, rollers, and fun downhills.

Review: Rode the newish "flow" trail on the south side of the park (Glenwood Section). Very fun with snow on the ground and I saw half a dozen fat bikers on the short loop during my ride. So cool to have this place close to the city and connected with greenways.
