Mountain Biking Strand Bonus
#621 of 1,381 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Strand Bonus is now the popular way to gain most of the elevation up to the top
of Strand Hill. To do so, connect to it from the Canal Trail. it may take a ride or two
in the area to get all of these trails straight. This singletrack climbs moderately up
to Strand Hill Road, just a little ways below where the Strand Hill trail drops off.

To get to Strand Hill: "Take highway 135 for 2 miles south out of town and turn
onto Brush Creek Road on the left. Park in one of the parking spots (psuedo-
trailheads) and ride your bike down the dirt road until you get to a jeep road on
the right. You have to follow that up several climbs and go pretty far until you
actually get to Strand Hill Trail. It's pretty hard to find if you're not a local."
