Trail Description
About this trail
This is a connector trail that gets you off Gold Camp Road and connects with Mid-Columbine at about its midway point. You won't ride this alone for any reason, but it's a great addition to the Cheyenne Canyon area that adds high quality singletrack and gets you off the dusty, heavily traveled Gold Camp Road.

Review: A very nice mostly down-sloping trail. Like all the others for miles around the surface is granitic grit, ie weathered granite. It makes for a "soft on hard" surface (on this trail - not everywhere) so you get an interesting "floaty" ride. When you reach Columbine it's much more floaty because the grit and stones are deeper.

Review: A connector trail leading from the first tunnel on Gold Camp down to the Middle Columbine Trail. It is a hard packed surface with little scree on it, leading you to the bottomless scree of the switchbacks on Middle Columbine. What a contrast of two trails. Spring Creek is not a blazer but it is twisted, curvy fun. I actually enjoyed Middle Columbine today and all its scree ... for some strange reason.

Review: A good slice of singletrack with beautiful black dirt! I just wish it was longer!

Review: This is exceptionally high quality singletrack that adds variety to your Cheyenne Canyon excursions. The trail is very well designed and has great flow. Most of it is pristine hardpack dirt instead of the bottomless gravel that makes up much of the area. This trail provides a natural extension to a downhill run on Captain Jack's or a super alternative to an up the Chutes/Gold Camp and down Columbine loop. While only about a mile, it's a real hoot and higly recommended for its own sake as well as a better alternative to some of the traditional routes in the area.
