Mountain Biking Shoe Factory Woods

***   Add a review
#58 of 127 mountain bike trails in Illinois
#5,846 in the world

This multi-use trail system is a beginner trail mostly on an old fire road.

There are long steady climbs and descents. Half of the trail is crushed

limestone, loose gravel. The other half is double track/fire road in grassy

terrain. In addition to the 8-9 miles of off-road trails, there is an 8.9 mile

long paved path meant for biking/running with marked miles which is

accessible from the same parking lot.

This is no destination to travel to, but if you are in the area and want to get your off-road fix between single track rides, this will definitely fit the bill. This 9 mile loop can be done at some decent speed so it's a good workout. If your thing is road-biking, there is an 8.9 mile paved path with rolling hills and such.* Review edited 7/19/2012
