There are a few ways to get to the top of this psychotic little piece of singletrack; all of them work. What's the payoff? A white-knuckle descent down a boulder strewn gravelly rut. Actually, it's a lot more fun than that description makes it sound, but you've got to be willing to take some pain and be willing to walk once in a while. Up high, there is huge exposure. Throughout, there is bottomless gravel that will send you surfing, and most of the way, there are1'-2' rock drops, often at the most inconvenient angles. It can be fun to descend if you're okay maneuvering low-speed technical drops. Climbing is impossible unless you have Hans' skills and Lance's lungs. I'd give it another star if it wasn't such a pain to get to the top.
Jack's/Buckhorn/Chutes/Section 16--basically anything else in the area.
