Sadly, Sesame Canyon is permanently closed to all users, due to greenback cutthroat trout plan. I know this little drainage runs into Bear Creek, but I would really like to see some data that shows that this trail significantly (statistically) and substantially (ecologically) added to water turbidity and lowered water quality to a harmful level for the greenback. Hopefully they have collected data, and it is significant and substantial. Without seeing any data I have to wonder, how much sediment is entering Bear Creek through Sesame versus say the north side of High Drive. Sesame was such a beautiful trail. It seems there could have been another way to manage any issues, other than a closure.
