This section of the CCT runs from Oak Marr Park through Difficult Run Stream Valley to Lawyers Road, a distance of approximately 6 miles. Mile markers as shown on the map are approximate. The trail begins in Oak Marr Park as a stonedust trail at the end of the asphalt trail from Jermantown Road, then continues as a natural surface trail through the park to Miller Heights Road. The trail route uses the shoulder of the road for approximately .2 of a mile where it re-enters the stream valley parkland. The remainder of this section is natural surface except for the section paralleling Miller Heights Road to Miller Road extended which is stonedust. The topography for this section of the trail is generally rolling with a few hills in the last mile before Lawyers Road. Stream crossings include stepping stones across several small tributary streams between the RECenter and Miller Heights Road. There is a fiberglass bridge and a larger stepping stone crossing south of Vale Road as well as another stone crossing south of Lawyers Road that is only usable during the low to normal stages of the creek.
