This is a short and rather steep track between Hataitai to City track and Old Mac track. The track climbs from north to south, along a hard-packed dirt surface that generally has some shallow to moderate ruts due to the steep gradient. There are also a few exposed tree roots along the way, just to make things interesting.
The top (southern end) of the track passes over the Hataitai Bus Tunnel, which runs from Pirie Street to Waitoa Road.
