Mountain Biking Rimutaka Rail Trail

***   Add a review
#89 of 387 mountain bike trails in New Zealand
#6,711 in the world

A relatively gentle climb up an old rail line (now graveled) through a beautiful valley with the high point being the pitch-black tunnels you go through. (Take a torch/head lamp).

Its not going to technically challenge anyone but its an enjoyable ride.

Just an easy peddle throuigh a beautiful valley, out and back, but worth it if you're in the mood for a ride without any real challenge (unless you're afraid of the dark).

I tried to ride the summit tunnel without any light, and its totally disorientating in a cool kind of way.
