Mountain Biking Red Trail

  Add a review
#52 of 110 mountain bike trails in Connecticut
#6394 in the world

Fairly easy semi-loop trail that contains a mix of double track and single track. The trail is wide and in good shape, but a decent drop down to the river, followed by a short, but somewhat tough climb back to the road. Part of a larger network of trails, some of which aren't on the map.

Before you go
  • No Drinking water
  • No E-bikes permitted
  • Fat biking allowed in winter
  • No Fee required
  • No Lift service
  • No Night riding allowed
  • No Pump track
  • Restrooms
Getting there
From the north, from where the Arrigoni Bridge crosses from Middletown to Portland, take Route 66 south, then turn right on 151 at the small town of Cobalt. The park entrance will be on your right.

From the Godspeed Opera House, head north on 149 until you reach East Haddam, then turn left on to 151. The park entrance will be on your left.
