Mountain Biking Pinewood Reservoir
#425 of 1,379 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Nice scenery trail up in the foothills/mountains that is fairly secluded. I've never seen another biker on it. To get some warmup in, start at the South end of the lake, as the North end starts climbing immediately. There are a couple of minor technical sections, but nothing too serious. There is a couple of very steep sections, but not too long. It's quite short, as the 7.7 miles is doing the entire trail as an out-and-back, even though there is a loop in there. Probably do the loop at least twice for a good workout.
