Trail Description
About this trail
We have some friends from Virginia that moved here. They were looking for some Singletrack riding. We read that PantherCreek had some trails. We took off on our 45 min. ride not knowing what to expect. To our surprise, the trails we great. Not too rooty, with just the right amount of hills. Our friends said that it was better than the trails they rode in Virginia. We will ride there agian as soon as we can.

Review: Really fun place, trails aren't the best marked but it's easy to get back to the road or trail head, nice variation with some trails mostly flat, others with steeper and longer hills.

Review: This place has some cool stuff. There are a few trails that are up and down hill. It's free, the trails are well-maintained, some parts get pretty technical, it's a good time. There are more trails across the road, not just the first few that you see.

Review: This trail is so so. If your east of Knoxville there is nothing to ride so this has to suffice. The large river or lake is really nice. The trail is not really marked very well so half the time I have no clue where I'm going, but hey I'm riding. Lots of good challenging climbing and technical rocky areas. So just a heads up, some parts are for more experienced riders where it gets technical, you have to hike a bike. Nice wildlife everywhere. The trail doesn't really seem to be well thought out but just my opinion.

Review: Great trail! Several options for trailhead selection. Well marked trails that flow nicely. One section is set for a higher level skilled rider, but overall the entire trail system is very manageable for all skill level riders. Small climbs depending on your route, nice open areas with great views. Some trail along the lake, others use the some of the gravel roads as connectors. No major obstacles, just one section of rocky technical terrain near the lake. A fun trail to ride, I will make sure to visit again when traveling through the area.

Review: I caught this cool trail system on the way home from the Smoky Mountains. I also did the Urban Wildnerness in Knoxville but enjoyed this much more just because of the beautiful views on Trout Lily and the wildlife. Trout Lily is super short but super fun with some rocky sections that are more intermediate but the rest of the trail is intermediate beginner. I also rode Pioneer which was rooty but still an easy trail. I didn't have time to check the rest of the trails out, but enjoyed it.

Review: Rode Pioneer last time here, really enjoyed it. I wanted something more challenging this time. So I rode Old Farm Trail, to Connector Trail, to Piney Cove Trail, to Deer Run Trail, to Trout Lily and out. Nothing to difficult expect back side of Trout Lily where as written below there is a lot of exposed rock and tight moves in around them. With the recent rain that morning it made things a bit slippery. A few hill climbs but nothing grueling. Some nice pumpers. Really enjoyed the flow and diversity of the trail. The way I rode it made for 5 mile loop on the nose.

Similar Trail: Backside of Haw Ridge around the Lake.

Review: Well first time there. Took trout lily loop. I really did like it. Had a good time, it's about 2 miles long or so. Then on the way out took, Old farm trail. It's about 1.5 miles long. I am new at Mountain biking and I am 45 years old. So some spots was rough. But a very good ride.. I'll be going back.

Review: As my local trial system I love this place. I ride it once a week in the winter and as many times as I can in the warm months. Even after riding it as much as I have I still love to get out there and just ride. This place makes my every day worries disappear. IMO it has a little of everything and it is well maintained!
