Trail Description
About this trail
Intermediate ride with some good climbing. I rode the loop clockwise, but I got the feeling that most go the other direction. The trail is fairly well marked, but I got off track a few times. If confused just stay on the most used looking trail and lood for knobby tire tracks. This is a popular equestrian trail too so be on the lookout for horses. It was also fairly muddy this time of year which can be quite a mess when you throw horses into the mix. Probably best to ride in June or later, however, the wildflowers were really in blume.

Review: Mostly rolling hills of fire road, with a couple of steep creek crossings to mix things up. Watch out for horses and walkers.
Good ride, though not very technical

Review: Trail is by no means technical but it has SEVERAL LONG 18% GRADE sections on the loop trail. I would not recommend this trail unless your a future downhiller who wants to feel the burn of the climbs. Absolutely no beginner rider is going to make all the climbs. Only a small amount of single track (which was fun). Lots of open ranch land without a lot to see. Downhills are fast and in some spots long but you will pay for them.

Review: Haven't ridden this trail in years, so decided to check it out this past weekend. I was surprised to find that there is now a $10 parking fee! Didn't have any cash on me, so decided to ride one of the other local trails. Just wanted to let everyone know that if they want to park in staging area, make sure to bring some cash, as the fee lock box doesn't take Visa!

Review: Fun and fast. Home to a couple of Auburn area races. Very, very tough climb half way through the loop with a couple of creek crossing. Horses are ubiqitous, taking a serous toll on the condition of the trail so be careful.

Similar Trail: Forresthill Divide Loop, Clementine Loop.

Review: Fun trail. Bunch of decent climbs and some fun, ripping downhills. LOTS of horses, as its a mainly equestrian trail. First Sacramento equestrian trail that was opened to bikes, so be respectful. If you ride this in the winter, and crash, remember to keep your mouth closed, or you'll be tasting horse for the next week!

Review: A very popular equestrian trail indeed. This trail was started by a local Bike Shop owner as a place as a multi-use trail. Generally speaking the equestrian folks are freindly. Just communicate and yield if they desire. A couple of really steep rocky downhill sections, and some nice views.
